Bausch and Lomb

Bausch and Lomb began in 1853 by John Jacob Bausch who opened a small optical store in Rochester, NY. Bausch's best friend, Henry Lomb, joined the business when Bausch borrowed money from him and the partnership was created. Originally they created rubber spectacle frames and precision optical wear. Later, by 1903, they were creating binoculars, microscopes and camera shutter lenses. During the 1900's Bausch and Lomb continued their innovations in the spectacle world. They were the first to make optical quality glass in America, sunglasses for the military during World War I and make the first lens that took a satellite picture of the moon. 1971 saw the first ever soft contact lenses ever made and since then Bausch and Lomb has been eye care leaders and innovators.

Currently, Bausch and Lomb offer a wide range of contact lenses and contact lens solution and care products, as well as eye care health products too. There main range of brands are the PureVision line, SoftLens and Boston Brand. Each has slightly different features all depending on what each wearer needs in vision correction. The PureVision Line is the newest brand part of the Bausch and Lomb family. They are a soft contact lens that uses the AeroGel technology, delivering exceptional comfort and clarity. The SoftLens Brand uses hydrogel material that is resistant to deposit and mineral build ups and offers all day comfort. These are made for standard users, as well as people with Astigmatism and Presbyopia. Lastly, the Boston Brand is a gas permeable hard contact lens that is durable and easy to care for. They have been made with a patent oxygen permeable material that ensures that the wearer's eyes are able to breath; ensuring enhanced comfort and all day clarity.

Bausch and Lomb is a high end contact lens that offers a range of options and choices for each wearer's needs. Affordable prices enable each wearer to receive the superb quality and design, no matter which lens brand they choose.
