What Happens at an Eyewear Consultation?

At our eyewear consultation, we strive to make the experience as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with the option of indulging in a cup of tea, coffee, or even a glass of prosecco to set the tone for your visit.
The consultation unfolds in several stages, each designed to ensure that your eyewear perfectly suits your needs and preferences.

1. Prescription Analysis

Our first step involves a thorough analysis of your spectacle prescription and any notes from your optometrist. We pay close attention to any eye conditions that may influence your visual potential or affect the effectiveness of your spectacle correction.

2. Discussion

Next, we engage in a  conversation to understand your wants, expectations, and the visual demands of your everyday lifestyle, work, and hobbies. We discuss what can be achieved and identify whether multiple pairs of glasses are necessary to address your individual needs effectively.

3. Personalised Advice

Based on the insights gathered, our Dispensing Optician provides tailored advice. We recommend the best lens options for optimal visual performance, considering factors such as frame choice and lens thickness.

4. Optional Eyewear Styling

While assisting you in selecting spectacles, our specialists offer additional styling elements free of charge if desired. This includes guidance on shape, colour, material, and related fashion advice.

5. Eyewear Selection

Our Dispensing Opticians are not only knowledgeable about complex prescriptions and eye conditions but also experts in eyewear. With an understanding of facial and cranial anatomy, materials, frame design, and production, they guide you in selecting the perfect frame from our collection to suit you and your needs.
Once you’ve made your selection, glasses lenses typically take approximately 2 weeks to manufacture. However, we offer an express option for some lenses (charges apply). When your glasses arrive, you will attend a final fitting appointment. During this session, we carry out fine-tuning adjustments to the frame, check your vision through the glasses, and address any further questions you may have.
As a final touch, we invite you to join our collection of happy clients by posing for a photo with your new spectacles. These photos may be featured on our social media, website, marketing materials, and training sessions, showcasing your satisfaction with our service and your stylish new eyewear.
