For children, teenagers, and young adults, MiSight is often recommended as a means of managing myopia, aiming to slow down its progression. MiSight is frequently paired with MiYOSMART spectacle Myopia Management, offering the flexibility to choose between days without spectacles or contact lenses.
MiSight contact lenses, soft daily disposables, are crafted from high-performance material ensuring optimal oxygen transmission to the cornea, promoting comfort during wear. They incorporate a specialised peripheral defocus design, subtly adjusting the light entering the eye to reshape the
developing eye and mitigating myopia progression over time. These contact lenses not only offer a practical solution but also foster self-confidence in children previously constrained by their vision and spectacles. With MiSight’s extensive range of prescription options, individuals can engage in sports, social activities, and outdoor pursuits without spectacles, inspiring a sense of freedom and limitless opportunities.

The fitting process for MiSight Contact Lenses typically takes 2-3 weeks and involves about three mandatory appointments. This time commitment is crucial to ensure the procedure’s success and safety.
Your journey begins with a consultation and comprehensive eye examination. If MiSight lenses are suitable for you, we will order them in your prescription, which usually takes about 3-5 working days to arrive. Following your initial appointment, we will provide a tutorial on how to insert and remove the contact lenses. Some individuals master this skill quickly, while others may need additional practice during the second visit. For safety reasons, you won’t be able to take the lenses home until you can insert and remove them proficiently.
Once your lenses arrive, you will attend a fitting and visual acuity appointment with the optometrist to assess their performance. During this visit, you will have another opportunity to practice inserting and removing the lenses. Once you have mastered this skill, you can take your lenses home. Regular monitoring and aftercare appointments will be scheduled to ensure ongoing success and safety.
The journey towards myopia management begins with a Consultation & Advanced Eye Examination to identify suitable options tailored to your or your child’s specific needs. If deemed a suitable candidate for MiSight, there will be an initial fee and an ongoing monthly Direct Debit for care and products, continuing throughout the treatment period under our supervision.
