Appointment Booking & Cancellation Policy

Securing an appointment
At Eyediology we take a £55 non-refundable deposit at the point of booking to secure your appointment with the optometrist. The deposit will be taken off the total cost of your appointment.
Appointment cancellation policy
You are very important to us at Eyediology and we are committed to providing all of our patients with exceptional care. When a patient cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another patient from being seen. Please call us on 020 73772020 or email us hello@eyediologyopticians.co.uk by 2:00pm on the day prior to your scheduled appointment to notify us of any changes or cancellations. To cancel a Sunday appointment, please call our office by 2:00pm on Friday. If prior notification is not given or the appointment is missed your £55 deposit will not be refunded. If NHS appointments are missed or not cancelled in line with our policy, we do not guarantee being able to offer you NHS services in the future. We do, of course, understand that unavoidable issues come up and we will do our best to work with you in case of an emergency. As a courtesy, we do contact you to confirm the date and time of your appointment. However please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times in order to avoid missed appointments and cancellation fees. You are always welcome to call and double check any appointments if you’re unsure. Our goal in communicating our cancellation and failed to attend policy is to avoid any extra charges being passed on to you.
Late Policy
We will always try our best to accommodate you if you’re running behind, stuck in traffic, etc. However, if you are late it can affect the appointment of patients who came in on time. We generally allow a 5 minute grace period. We will endeavour to complete all the appropriate tests in the remaining time however we may have to book another appointment if needed. This will ensure the next patient is not kept waiting for their appointment. Please, always call if you even think you might be late; we’d rather know as early as possible so we can do our best to fit you in without upsetting the flow of the day. Here is a general breakdown of our late fees: If you arrive late but within the allotted time the examination will be started. 100% of the booked appointment charge will apply and a further appointment scheduled to complete the remaining tests and will be charged accordingly. If you do not arrive in time for the service to be completed, you will lose your non-refundable deposit. Again, please remember that your appointments are reserved for you and only you. These policies allow us the opportunity to ensure the smooth running of the clinic and to continue offering exceptional eye care and service to all of our customers.
We thank you for your cooperation and understanding
